Community Outreach CPST Car Seat Installation Program
Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District sponsors a Car Seat Technician through Safe Kids Worldwide using NHTSA curriculum. (Information on the program is found here: https://www.codot.gov/safety/carseats)
Our Technician is currently the only Fire Department sponsored Technician west of the hogbacks in Jefferson County. As a volunteer, she will do checks for the residents of Inter-Canyon, Elk Creek, North Fork, Platte Canyon, Indian Hills, Evergreen, Genesee and Foothills Fire Departments.

Once an appointment is scheduled, please bring:
~Car Seat & manual
~Primary Vehicle and owner manual
~If you have more than one parent/caregiver, car, or car seat, feel free to bring along that other person and vehicle, or at least the Vehicle Owner manual and car seat manuals.
Please visit https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls to make sure there are no outstanding recalls for your vehicle and car seat prior to the appointment.
We utilize an electronic checklist that you will sign and initial on a portable device during the appointment. The information is utilized by our technicians and the program for accountability, statistics, and reference material. No personal information is sold, distributed, or shared with outside sources.
